SOLD - Stanley 55 Universal Combination Plane Rosewood handled universal combination plane no. 55 made by Stanley. Includes all 55 cutters that are in very good condition, main section, sliding section, auxiliary centre bottom, cam rest, long and short arms, 2 gauges, 2 spurs, Stanley how to use booklet and the original Stanley box (some wear to box). The plane body itself is marked Stanley SW (sweetheart logo) made in USA no. 55. Side fence is marked trade mark 55, the depth gauge is marked US. PAT 4-11-22. This old Stanley no. 55 plane is in excellent condition and still maintains an estimated 95% of its nickel plating, long and short arms lack nickel plating. A lovely old plane which retains a good clean set of cutters. | SOLD - Record Multi Plane no. 405 A fine very little used rosewood handled multi-plane no. 405 made by Record. Head has a number of marks and dents. | Iron Inclinometer An iron inclinometer that measures 10 inch long overall, angled measurements are marked 1-16per foot. Retains all three bubbles. Top of level is marked with a long patch (115mm long) of pitting. Body retains an estimated 90% of its japanning. | ||
Spiers Dovetailed Shoulder Plane A dovetailed shoulder plane with rosewood infills made by Spier Ayr. Blades marked Marples & Son. This plane has been fitted with a good replacement wedge. Top of infill and rear end of plane are marked with the previous woodworkers name stamp. Steel body is marked with a number of light dents and scratches. Mouth of plane has been slightly rounded. | SOLD - Two Varvill Woodworking Planes Two old Varvill woodworking planes. Planes are marked with a number of previous woodworkers name stamps with a large user name burnt into the side of one plane. Both planes have had some good use and are marked with a number of marks, dents and two deep scratches. See photos for profiles. Plane makers stamps includes Varvill York, the second plane is marked Varvill & Son York. | Thos Turner & Co Dovetail Saw Brass back dovetail saw made by Thos Turner made with an open beech handle that is fitted with 2 brass split nut screws, handle has chip to bottom spur and is marked with the previous woodworkers name stamps. Brass back is marked Thos Turner & Co Encore Sheffield, refined cast steel improved. Blade is marked with some speckling of pitting plus a patch of heavy pitting. Blade requires sharpening. | ||
