SOLD Stanley Smoothing Plane no. 4 1/2
A fine beech handled smoothing plane no 4 1/2 made in England by Stanley Bailey. Retains a near full length cutting iron marked Stanley made in England. Rear handle is marked with the previous users name stamp. A nice woodworking plane that appears to have seen little use if any, still maintaining an estimated 99% of its japanning, outer body retains the original machine markings and crisp edges, also includes the original Stanley box (box is very worn with torn corners see photo). |
