A lovely set of Scharwaechter Carving Tools (15 piece). Scharwaechter feared they would have to stop production of their tools and so turned to the French company Auriou and asked to make the same quality tools, the shape and style which is still the same today. Auriou's tools today are made from carbon steel where as the Scharwaechter tools are chromed like 100C6. Sharwaechter and Auriou carving tools are the closest match in terms of quality and design. Carvers have octagonal beech handles and include:

1 x 1mm veiner type tool,
1 x 20mm gouge, (we believe sweep 4),

1 x 12mm gouge, (we believe sweep 6),
1 x 10.5mm gouge, (we believe sweep 11),
1 x 6mm gouge, (we believe sweep 9 or 10),
1 x 8mm gouge, (we believe sweep 4),
1 x 4.5mm gouge, (we believe sweep 5 or 6),
1 x 4mm gouge, (we believe sweep 4).
